Life on the Farm

Family farms put out the welcome mat at harvest time.  And why not?  The weather is perfect for pumpkin picking and hay rides.  In addition, several area museums focus on our region's agriculture roots.  Take a look.

FARMS

Fall fest every weekend in October, Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Sunday, 1-5:30 p.m. • Enjoy hay rides, a corn maze, petting zoo, pumpkin patch, and hands-on activities. Admission.

3rd Annual Fall Farm Festival Benefit - Saturday, October 22, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

Pumpkin patch, concessions, petting farm, and hay ride. Proceeds go to Paul Andrew McDaniel Foundation for Organ Donation and Stroke Awareness.

 Fall Folklore Jamboree • Saturday, October 15, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

$5/adults, $2/kids • A celebration of Tennessee folkways. The museum houses a collection of farm implements that date to the 1800s.

The largest pumpkin display in the state featuring 5,000 pumpkins and gourds 

Through November 27, sunrise to sunset.

Open until October 31, Thursday through Sunday, check website for hours. 

Haunted corn maze on Friday nights. Coupons on the website.
