National Civil Rights Museum Events

January 3 “Portrait of a Movement” opens.

The first of a three-part photography exhibit reflecting the movement’s 20th anniversary.

January 15 Youth Day, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Enjoy breakfast, a dramatic portrayal of King, arts and crafts, and entertainment by Watoto de Afrika. Reservations required for breakfast, 521-9699 x239

January 15-17 King Weekend Food Drive.

Feed the Need by bringing nonperishable canned goods to the museum. Benefits the Mid-South Food Bank.

January 17 Tour the National Civil Rights Museum, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.

Reduced admission: $3/person, or $2/with canned food donation. Entertainment includes a film, arts and crafts, choral performances, and special guests.   MP
