Home visitation programs include Healthy Families, Parent Outreach, and Nurse-Family Partnership. healthy Families is a home visitation service for first-time teen mothers that promotes healthy child development and positive parent-child interaction to help prevent child abuse and neglect. The Parent Outreach Program provides home visitation services to new mothers for up to 12 months, offering support, encouragement, and education on parent skills. Nurse-Family Partnership sends nurses to visit low-income women in their homes during their first pregnancy and throughout the first two years of the child's life to improve child health and development. The Fatherhood Initiative focuses on developing a community plan to support fathers of young children.
