Free Kids Films at Indie Memphis
October 9th, 2009 by Jane Schneider
For years, kids have been entertained by the imaginative filmmakers from Disney and Pixar, but there are a host of great independent films aimed at children that offer a different world view. You can watch them this weekend as part of the Indie Memphis Film Festival, going on all weekend at the Brooks Museum. Indie Kids features international film festival award-winners from Cannes, Berlin, Ottawa, Athens and Amsterdam, with gorgeous films that include Japanese animation, Eastern European puppet cinema and poignant coming of age stories from emerging nations. The film run Saturday, October 10th from 11 until noon. For more information, visit indiememphis.com or call 544-6208.
